Bring a Coleman lantern and a radio
Cleveland game and two fishing poles
And watch with me from the shore"

Today especially we take a moment to think of Jason, 10 years after his death, and to cherish our favourite records from his extraordinary catalogue.
Once again, we'd like to share details of two organisations who provided support to Jason in the US and UK respectively: Musicares and Samaritans.
For support, donations or otherwise, the links for these vital organisations can be found here: musicares.org // samaritans.org
Our hope has always been that Static & Distance could become a forum for Jason's fans to connect and share music, memories and more. We encourage anyone who’d like to share something in memory of Jason to do so below this post - comments are open.
Just be simple.

Thanks Jason for being there with your music in my darkest hours 💙 You are gone but not forever
We still enjoy Jason's music every day. When we listen to the vinyl 'Live: Vanquishers', recorded near us in Tilburg, The Netherlands, it sounds like Songs: Ohia is playing in our living room. That gives a comforting feeling. It's so special how Jason continues to touch us with his music. Over time, it loses nothing in it's power. Through his music, Jason is a companion for life.
