“Hiromi Kawakami and Jason Molina live in here. I think Jia Tolentino, too. Trying to hold light in your hand.” - Slaughter Beach, Dog on their new single

Hey everyone,
Hope you’re all doing OK out there.
We have another short run down today of some bits we think you might like, including new music inspired by Jason, the first printing of some of Ben Swanson & Güido Ferro’s ‘Ghost Tropic’ comic and more archive recordings.
We’re also continuing weekly drops of tracks from The Lamb & Flag Jam002 and next week we’ll be sounding out a bit of a survey to get your feelings on what you’d like from this in terms of content, music, frequency etc.
More on all of that soon.
All the best,
S&D x

Philly’s Slaughter Beach, Dog have shared new single ‘Strange Weather’ featuring the brilliant Erin Rae - when explaining the song, the band’s Jake Ewald name-checked Jason, alongside Japanese writer Hiromi Kawakami and American writer Jia Tolentino:
"Strange Weather" is about "doing your very best to disappear from yourself. Hiromi Kawakami and Jason Molina live in here. I think Jia Tolentino, too. Trying to hold light in your hand. Certainly as a bad prank that unfolds across decades. Sometimes all I get is sha-la-la. Thanks to Erin Rae for lending us her amazing voice here - I remember listening to Putting On Airs in the van after a show some years ago and the whole tour melted away for a minute. An honor to finally share the mic with you, ER. If I saw the light, would I know?"

Lamb And Flag #3 - JAM 002
We’re continuing to share the second tape of the Lamb and Flag series from the Secretly Archives.
The files from the tape aren’t matching up 100% with the label, meaning this week we have shared ‘Days As Long As December’, leaving a fair few still to show up…
If you’re enjoying these Lamb & Flag tracks, we’ll be sharing Archive Tape instalments weekly for the next little while.
